Ye gods!!!!

Be veeeery careful if you use blogspot.
I made some changes, since the good Major was kind enough to link to me. My blog was good enough for me, since few people up to this point were dropping by. However, it had a sloppy bachelor-pad feel to it, so I felt I must keep up appearances and clean up the house since company was coming. The equivalent of pushing the socks under the couch.

Unfortunately, blogger is very touchy about what you can modify on the fly and expect to keep your blog intact. (I knocked down the house whilst I was straigtening up.)
It's definitely not forgiving enough to survive my heavy-handed editorial changes, and as a result, it dropped everything I had into the great E-beyond.
Poof.

The color drained from my face as I poked thru the the menu, hoping that it was just a temporary speed bump, my precious soapbox would magically appear unharmed.
Nope.
I went into the cache, found nothing, (Mozilla is a little clumsy in that regard..) logged out and logged back in. It only got worse from there. My first saved layout, blank, bare and white.
Well- Almost bare.

There was a lone picture of me, recently posted as a result of my attempts to redecorate. Why it grabbed a long dead version of my blog, I have no idea.

Here's where the Major comes in to save the day..

I wondered if his link would work, so I tracked down his URL, clicked the link, and.. Phew!
There it was, minus a few lame posts from the last few days, so I did a small happy dance, copied the source code, and dumped it into my template.

Note to self:
ALWAYS back up your data.
